Kristen & Andrew were such a fun couple to photograph! They got married at the classic Claremont Hotel and Spa
in July (of 2013…I’m a little behind ok!). It was a typical summer day in the bay…some fog, some sun…perfect weather for shooting! Speaking of classic, getting to use Andrew’s 1971 Volvo 142 for the shoot was super awesome, made for beautiful portraits and it took me back to High School – my best friend growing up had a very similar car, Ha Ha. I had such a great time using all the iconic flavor of the Claremont in the images. The fun carpet, loud curtains, the iron work on the balcony – there are endless possibilities. I was a little sad we couldn’t figure out a way to have the couple’s two greyhound’s be part of the shoot, but I guess you have to draw the line somewhere. Even through this wedding happened in 2013, I had to post it. I truly loved how all their images turned out, and had such a great time shooting them! Congrats to Kristen & Andrew!
“One of our favorite moments from the wedding was when we saw each other at the beginning of the ceremony, as we deliberately didn’t see each other beforehand. Andrew liked watching my mom smile and cry at the same time while my dad and I danced. I liked all the preparation beforehand such as sneaking into the reception room early in the morning to see the flowers being installed and bringing the room to life with color.” – Kristen & Andrew

Erik and Tesse threw a beautiful wedding at the Tehama Golf Club in Carmel Valley last fall. This “Royal Wedding” themed event was absolutely stunning. I have known Erik & his family for over 12 years. I shot his sister Brittany’s beautiful backyard wedding a few years ago (Click here to se Brittany & Larry’s Wedding) & was super excited when Erik contacted me after he and Tesse got engaged:). It was a race to the finish as I watched the sun set during the ceremony, which created the most beautiful light. I was determined to get some dramatic sky shots of Tesse & Erik after the sun set.
The combination of these two wonderful families, the stunning venue, this sweet couple, the dramatic details and the cutest flower girls and ring bearers ever – it was a perfect night. I will never forget when the sun set after his final child got married, Erik’s dad looked at me and said “We did it!” Thank you to Erik’s family for having me be a part of almost every wedding in their family! AND of course to Tesse & Erik for having me be a part of their wonderful day!
