Meet Carrie
Where do I begin? I have always taken photos. I love natural photos and always take a journalistic approach to everything I am shooting. My official professional career started when I started a photography program for a family camp called The Lair of the Golden Bear in 2005. That job lead me to Lake Tahoe where I was a newspaper photographer capturing images of local wildfires, weather, community, news and sports. After working for the newspaper I moved to the Bay Area and started a full time photography business focusing on weddings, portraits and commercial photography. Which is where I am today! Its hard to believe its been 11 years since this journey began. The great news is, I still love my job.
My Approach
After working for a newspaper I feel like I can talk to anyone about anything at any time. This skill has helped me in making my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. I have been known to crawl through grass, act like a monkey and climb structures all to make my clients laugh, get the shot and ensure that they get the most wonderful images possible. In my experience, most people do not feel comfortable in front of the camera. I help them with posing, what to wear and understanding that everyone has a good side!
Rates

Weddings
Packages start at $4500 and include a timeline consultation, seven hours of photography coverage, two photographers, thank you cards, an online gallery and all high resolution digital files with rights to print and share. Album packages start at $6500. All packages will be customized to fit the couple’s specific needs.
Engagements
Packages start at $550 and include an initial consultation, 90 minutes photography coverage, editing of final images, a print credit, an online gallery, and an ordering phone call or in person meeting.
Family Portraits
Packages start at $400 and include an initial consultation, 60 minutes photography coverage, editing of final images, a print credit, an online gallery, and an ordering phone call or in person meeting.
Baby’s First Year
Packages start at $1100 and include one newborn session (90 minutes) and two (60 minute) photo sessions within your little one’s first year, editing of final images, a print credit, and an online gallery.
Commercial
Commercial & Head Shots are billed at an hourly rate of $400 and include an initial consultation, 60 minutes photography coverage, editing of final images, a print credit, an online gallery, and an ordering phone call or in person meeting. In addition to the hourly rate I have digital file packages and photo rights contracts to accommodate every client’s needs. Digital packages start at $250.
Travel
I travel to the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe, and Sacramento and pretty much anywhere in between for no additional cost. I love to travel so please let me know if you have a wedding outside this area! Mexico? Hawaii? I’m willing and ready!
